Garry singing at The Big Band Academy in March 2003 when he was inducted.
Garry Stevens from 5/3/03 - 71 min
Garry was certainly one of the top 'Boy Singers' of the day. While performing such hits as 'At Last' and so many others with the great Charlie Spivak Orchestra, Garry Stevens was rated #4 male vocalist in 1942 being surpassed only by Frank Sinatra, Bob Eberly and Perry Como. He was rated #4 once again in 1946 with the Glenn Miller Orchestra under the direction of Tex Beneke. Great stories and lots of great music he recorded with the both orchestras and vocal groups The Stardusters and The Crew Chiefs, this makes for some more of the great entertainment that we love from the great era of the big bands.
